Isaiah Akindunbi holds a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, and an advanced diploma in Business Administration from the Tekedia Institute, Boston. Isaiah is a seasoned communication and brand professional, with experience in agriculture and youth development and has the ability to proffer robust strategies cutting across communication, agriculture, technology, entrepreneurship, education, and advocacy.
Isaiah started his career in 2015 after being trained and certified by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development at the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority as a Snail entrepreneur. Isaiah was able to transfer hands-on knowledge to other students during his course of study in the University.
An effective community manager, Isaiah builds, grows, and provides management to brands and organizations' online communities using digital tools to analyze data, and monitor social media outlets, online forums, emails, and blogs. Very recently, He offered pro-bono services to an Agriculture Edtech Startup – CFI e-learning Academy owned by Corporate Farmers International. He Founded Agroworld Community, an initiative that provides digital agricultural extension and marketing services to help youth, entrants, and existing agribusinesses thrive.
Isaiah as a YPARD delegate, served in the event design team and co-organized the Global Landscape Forum first Africa events alongside other Youth in Landscape (YIL) representatives in 2021, in a framework that promotes the interest of young people.
Isaiah is very keen to promote youth involvement in agriculture in a framework that will benefit them, the community they belong to, and humanity at large. "He believes youth are the upcoming generation in agriculture who have the energy, creative mind, technology, and innovation to lead agriculture into the future of a developed, new and sustainable Agri-food system." He keeps up to the role and looks forward to using his experiences to serve YPARD Nigeria by leveraging multi-media platforms, collaboration, and strategic positioning approaches to increase youth involvement in agricultural development and sustainable food production.
"My motivation as the Communication Focal Person is to serve in a global agriculture-led development that provides enabling environment for talented and skilful youth to learn and grow while promoting the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals locally from their region and in a global setting."
Isaiah has been a committed member of YPARD since 2018. He served in the capacity of the YPARD local media communication personnel for Osun State, Nigeria.
He is ready to keep abreast of his role as the Communication Focal Person and continue the good work of Nelson Owoicho, the former Communication Focal Person. We deeply appreciate Nelson for the effort, time and dedication channelled to ensure progressive development.
