Climate-Smart Agriculture Manual for Agriculture Education in Zimbabwe

In response to Zimbabwe’s request, the CTCN collaborated with Zimbabwean NDE, the UNEP-DTU Partnership, and other key national counterparts including the Ministry of Environment, Water and Climate; the Ministry of Agriculture, Mechanisation and Irrigation Development; and Zimbabwe’s universities and agriculture colleges, to develop the Climate-Smart Agriculture Manual for Agriculture Education in Zimbabwe. This manual will be complemented by a capacity building process, including training of trainers, which will enable broader dissemination to agriculture students and extension workers across the country. We are deeply grateful to all of our partners for their work and for Zimbabwe’s tireless involvement and support in the undertaking of this initiative.

The use of this manual is expected to transform the country’s agriculture sector into a sustainable production system by maximising the climate opportunities and reducing climate change-related risks on the agriculture sector.
