The Bill and Melinda Gates Grand Challenges in Global Health is collaborating with India's government and biotechnology industry to sponsor the Grand Challenge India. The first joint program focuses on the relationship between agriculture, nutrition, and health to reduce the high incidence of low birth weight and early stunting and wasting among Indian infants. Grants are for innovators who are Indian individuals or Indian entities, but the Challenge encourages partnerships with researchers in other countries.
