The EEP for Southern and East Africa announces its 8th call for proposals. The program invites applications in support of local private sector projects in renewable energy and energy efficiency that are close to commercial maturity, but that need a limited amount of bridging finance to enable sustainable business growth. Projects should be implemented in one or more of the following partner countries: Botswana, Burundi, Kenya, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, Seychelles, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia.The maximum grant allocation ranges from €200 thousand to €1 million, depending on the level of co-financing.The deadline for submitting concept notes is 16 July 2014.
