The EU supports the program ENLACE to make travel grants for exchange between Central American and European researchers -- and to encourage contacts between research institutions for joint participation -- in the EU's Seventh Framework Program (FP7) of research.

Researchers funded through ENLACE may stay up to 30 days in Central America or the EU for joint preparation of a project proposal. The maximum travel grant is €3 thousand.
