CAS-START Training on Regional Climate Change

The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Global Change SysTem for Analysis, Research, and Training (START) announce a training course in China on scientific aspects of regional climate change for researchers and practitioners from Asian countries.

The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Global Change SysTem for Analysis, Research, and Training (START) announce a training course in China on scientific aspects of regional climate change for researchers and practitioners from Asian countries.

The training course will be held in Beijing, 07-24 October 2012.  The course will be taught in English for participants preferably between 25 and 40 years.

The course will address various scientific aspects of regional climate change -- including multi-platform observation, trends and impacts analysis, and climate modeling.  The curriculum will comprise lectures, seminars,  and site visits and excursions to CAS research facilities and field stations.

Limited funding is available for officially selected international trainees to cover their round-trip airfares, registration, lodging, and per diem.
