- The first call is for research to upscale technologies and innovations to manage banana bacterial wilt in Eastern and Central Africa.
- The second call is for research to accelerate the scaling up of technologies and innovations for the production of quality potato seed.
The research must be undertaken in at least three ASARECA member countries and by at least four National Agricultural Research (NARS) organizations that agree to work in partnership on the proposed research.
ASARECA's announcements describe research questions to be addressed; eligibility criteria; details about budget preparation and project duration; and how to prepare and submit concept notes. The call for research on banana bacterial wilt and the call for production of quality potato seed are posted on ASARECA's website.
The deadline for both research calls is 31 July 2012.
