AAG - My Community, My Earth

The Association of American Geographers, through its program "My Community, Our Earth," announces a new fellowship program to train university students in geographical information sciences.

The first group of fellowships will be offered to students in eligible countries of Sub-Saharan Africa in themes of climate change, agriculture, and food security. Up to 15 teams of students and their mentors will be selected. The training will be given at the Regional Center for Mapping of Resources for Development, SERVIR-Africa, in Nairobi.

Eligible countries are: Botswana, Burundi, Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Namibia, Rwanda, Seychelles, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia.
