The Agricultural Innovation Marketplace aims to enhance agricultural innovation for development in Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America through collaboration with Embrapa, Brazil's agency for agricultural research.
Applications are invited from public and private R&D organizations in Africa and Latin America (excluding Brazil) in partnerships with one or more Embrapa centers.
The Agricultural Innovation Marketplace aims to enhance agricultural innovation for development in Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America through collaboration with Embrapa, Brazil's agency for agricultural research.
Applications are invited from public and private R&D organizations in Africa and Latin America (excluding Brazil) in partnerships with one or more Embrapa centers.
Thematic areas in the program are:
- Technologies to raise agricultural productivity;
- Adaptation and mitigation of climate change;
- Improvement in the management of natural resources;
- Strengthening policies, institutions, and markets; and
- Technologies suitable for smallholder farmers and poverty alleviation.
Grants are up to US$80 thousand for projects of up to two years. Guidelines for the preparation and submission of pre-proposals are posted online. The deadline for pre-proposals (in English) is 28 February 2013.
