The government of the Netherlands funds the MENA Scholarship Program to contribute to capacity building in seven countries of the Middle East and North Africa: Algeria, Iraq, Lebanon,Morocco, Oman, Syria, and Tunisia. Note: Syria is currently suspended. The grants are to mid-career professionals who are employed by organizations and institutions in professional fields that include water management; agriculture, forestry, and fisheries; and geographic information science (among others). The program aims to support about 120 professionals, half of whom are women. Varying with the courses, the application deadlines are 01 March 2013 and 01 July 2013.
