The FFEM announces a fourth phase of the Small-Scale Initiatives for years 2013-2016. This program funds civil society organizations in Central and West Africa, Madagascar, and Mozambique for biodiversity conservation, the fight against climate change, and improvements of local livelihoods. Grants are to NGOs based in the eligible African countries, and to international NGOs in partnership with local NGOs that do not yet have legal status. FFEM will provide an average of 35 thousand per project, up to 50% of project costs (75% if there is only local participation).
