U.S. Department of State - Community Conservancy Initiative in Kenya

The U.S. Department of State's agency for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs will aid Kenya to deter organized transnational wildlife crimes and trafficking. Projects of up to two years will build expertise to increase the law enforcement capability of Kenya's community conservancies through long-term strategies, field reporting, information sharing, and related capacity building.

The program will fund a maximum of three awards with a total budget of US$1 million. Eligibility for funding extends to NGOs and other nonprofit organizations; national or provincial park boards and other parastatal entities; and educational institutions. Organizations based outside of Kenya are required to work with a Kenyan implementing partner. The application deadline is 25 July 2014.
