The Reed Elsevier company sponsors the Environmental Challenge to recognize projects worldwide that best demonstrate sustainable access to safe water and/or access to improved sanitation. The challenge is open to individuals; teams of individuals; and organizations (public and private). The first prize is US$50 thousand; second prize is US$25 thousand. Reed Elsevier will also offer a special prize of US$20 thousand for a collaboration project involving past winners. The submission deadline is 14 April 2015.
