The inaugural GBIF Ebbe Nielsen Challenge aims to inspire scientists, informaticians, data modelers, cartographers, and others to create innovative applications of open-access biodiversity data. Submissions can be anything that provide new representations or insights using GBIF-mediated data. Three to six entries from Round One will each receive €1 thousand. These finalists will compete in Round Two for a first prize of €20 thousand. The deadline for submission is 02 March 2015.
