The e-ASIA Joint Research Program aims to develop a vibrant and collaborative research community, including research on the theme of bio-energy. Themes include breeding and cultivation of biomass crops; bio-fuels production; on-site power and heat generation; and others. Participating countries in the consortium are Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. Each country has its own eligibility rules and means for financial or in-kind researcher support. Proposals need to include researchers in three or more participating countries. The deadline for applications (in English) is 13 October 2015.
