The e-ASIA Joint Research Program aims to develop a vibrant and collaborative research community, including research on the theme of disaster risk reduction and management. This refers to disasters such as cyclones, typhoons, earthquakes, and heat waves that cause great losses in the region. Participating countries in the consortium are Indonesia, Japan, Philippines, Russia, Thailand, and Vietnam. Each country has its own eligibility rules and means for financial or in-kind researcher support. Proposals need to include researchers in three or more participating countries. The deadline for applications (in English) is 13 October 2015.
