The APEC Climate Center in South Korea provides climate information services and technical support for regional planning and reduction of economic losses caused by adverse climate conditions. As a part of its capacity building, APCC will host a one-week training program on generation of regional climate data derived from statistical downscaling techniques. The workshop invites scientists from National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) in developing countries, preferably countries in Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, who are working in climate science or a climate-related field. APCC will pay for the airfare, accommodation, and perdiem of the program participants. The application deadline is 09 October 2015.
