Specifically, EC aims to strengthen the role of civil society to engage in the processes about FLEGT VPA (Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade - Voluntary Partnership Agreement) and REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation). Funding will be allocated among the following regions: Congo Basin; Western Africa; Amazon Basin; Mesoamerican Corridor; Mekong Region; and Southeast Asia and Pacific. The program is open to nonprofit non-state organizations in the EU and in the developing countries listed in the announcement.
