The Inter-American Development Bank calls for startups to compete for participation in the seventh edition of "Demand Solutions – Ideas to Improve Lives." The competition seeks to reward innovative startups working on projects in water, sanitation, hygiene, and health. Applications are invited from nationals of the Bank's borrowing member countries. Ten to twelve startups will be selected, half from the health category and half from water/sanitation/hygiene (WASH). One representative from each selected startup will participate in the Venture Night competition in Buenos Aires (November 2016) to compete for prizes. Three of the selected WASH startups will be awarded the IDB-FEMSA Water Prize. Other partners will award prizes to some of the other startups, as well. The deadline for applications (Spanish, Portuguese, English) is 05 July 2016.
