The World Intellectual Property Organization offers the WIPO Indigenous Fellowship to build stronger capacity in the field of indigenous intellectual property law, and to strengthen capacity on intellectual property law and policy for indigenous lawyers and policy advisers. Subject areas include legal measures to protect traditional knowledge; traditional cultural expressions; and genetic resources. Applications are invited from indigenous persons who have the necessary legal qualifications, or equivalent in practical experience and community work, to work within the WIPO Secretariat beginning in January 2017. The deadline for expressions of interest is 23 September 2016.
