SEARCA offers scholarships for PhD studies in agriculture, natural resources, and related fields. The top priority is to support Southeast Asian nationals who are enrolled in PhD programs in any of the five member universities of the Southeast Asian University Consortium for Graduate Education in Agriculture and Natural Resources. However, the program is also open to applications from Southeast Asian nationals who are regular staff members of government agencies or non-profit development-oriented institutions, and who are PhD students of agricultural universities not in the consortium. The application deadlines are 30 April and 30 September of each year.
