The Atkinson Foundation makes grants for grassroots projects in Mexico and Central America. Thematic areas are health, family planning, and cooperative enterprises. Most grants range between $5 and $15 thousand. The Foundation also funds activities in agriculture and natural resources including community water supply and sanitation; community agriculture and livestock; and micro-enterprises in agriculture and natural resources. Grants are to nonprofit charitable organizations in the USA. Applications are due 01 February, 01 May, 01 August, and 01 November of each year.
