Save Our Species — Threatened Species Conservation in Africa

Save Our Species (SOS) makes grants for conservation actions on threatened species and their habitats in Africa. Proposals have to target the conservation of lions, leopards, cheetahs, African wild dogs, and Ethiopian wolves. A limited proportion of the funding will be earmarked for additional species threatened by poaching, and habitat fragmentation. Grants are open to civil society organizations, including African NGOs and international NGOs in collaboration with local partners. Working with government partners is encouraged, although governments and government-affiliated entities cannot receive grants directly. Grants will range from €25 thousand to €150 thousand with a maximum project duration of 30 months. SOS requires matching resources in relation to grant size. The deadline for applications (English, French) is 07 April 2019. IUCN SOS grant
