The 2019 Newton Prize is open to existing and past recipients of Newton funding for projects in China, Indonesia and the Philippines. The Newton Prize recognizes the best research or innovation project that promotes economic development and social welfare. 3 prizes of between £50-£200 thousand (one per country) plus one additional Chairs Prize of £200-£500 thousand will be awarded. The award is open to applicants who currently hold a Newton award. Applicants whose award has already concluded are equally eligible to apply. The deadline for application is 19 April 2019.
