The 100,000 Strong in the Americas Innovation Fund is a public-private sector collaboration between the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Embassies, Partners of the Americas, NAFSA, corporations, and foundations. The Fund makes grants of US$25 thousand to support new higher education partnerships between the United States and the rest of the Western Hemisphere. Higher education institutions in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and the United States with special emphasis on addressing solutions to environmental issues and challenges are eligible to compete. Eligible academic areas include, but are not limited to: Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH); Natural Resource Management; Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience; and others.
