With funding from the government of Japan, UNESCO announces the current cycle of the Keizo Obuchi Research Fellowships. The program is open to post-graduate researchers no older than age 40 who wish to pursue research work abroad (preferably in their own region) in any of four specific fields. These fields include environment with particular emphasis on disaster risk reduction (DRR). Applications are invited from all Member States. Grants are a maximum of US$10 thousand.
