The US Department of State announces a notice of funding opportunity for combating wildlife trafficking in Latin America and the Caribbean through facilitating regional information exchange and cooperation. The goal is to the build capacity of developing countries in Latin America and the Caribbean to conserve critical biodiversity. Proposed projects may focus on activities such as data collection and analysis, workshops or trainings, strategies for information exchange, and the creation of detailed reports on wildlife trafficking trends. The funding amount will not exceed US$395 thousand. Eligibility extends to US-based and overseas-based non-profit organizations and institutions of higher education.
