We would like to draw your attention to our newly developed two weeks course on Rights-based approach to food and nutrition security offered by the Centre for Development Innovation (CDI) from 13-24 September 2010 in Wageningen, The Netherlands. This course focuses on the different aspects of a right to food approach. The training addresses the following topics:
• Different concepts used in the right to food approach
• Lobby and advocacy
• How to develop an intervention using the right to food approach to address food and nutrition insecurity.

Financial support for this course is available from the Netherlands Fellowship Programme (NFP). The deadline for application for this fellowship at CDI has been extended to 12 February 2010 and the deadline for the ensuing application at the Royal Netherlands Embassy is 1 March 2010 (note: 28 Feb. in Uganda). The deadline for application at CDI with funding other than an NFP fellowship is August 13, 2010.
The NFP scholarship covers the following costs:
Tuition fees
Travel costs
Full-board accommodation
Health insurance
Allowance for personal expenses
NFP fellowships are available for candidates from around 60 countries. Please consult the NFP country list at the website mentioned below.
