The Young Professionals in Local Development (YPLD) looking for smart and energetic young professionals to join its team as “fundraising assistants”. The candidates will have the opportunity to build valuable fundraising skills within the nonprofit sector. The position will be paid upon a (generous) commission reward system whose amount will be communicated individually.
Activities
- Securing recurring or longer-term funding (including seed money);
- Raising funds for the participation of YPLD representatives to events such as Rio+20, Agriculture and Rural Development Day etc;
- Securing sponsors for specific projects, reports and research;
- Partnering with similar institutions/stakeholders for fundraising events and awareness building;
- Contributing to the setting up of a long term fundraising strategy.
Skills Required
- Experience in fundraising(even a brief one);
- Good written and spoken communication skills in English;
- A passion for working with local communities and young professionals;
- Good computer and social networking skills;
- Enthusiasm, dedication, entrepreneurial spirit, “can-do” attitude
- Be able to work on your own initiative and with minimal supervision;
- Good team working skills.
Desirable:
