This fellowship supports research on conservation of genetic resources of priority forest tree species. Applications are open to citizens of Sub-Saharan Africa under age 40 who have at least a masters degree (or equivalent) in a field related to forest genetics, and who have relevant institutional affiliations.
The priority areas for research are diversified forest/woodland management, conservation of tree genetic resources, and restoration of forested landscapes. The fellowship is up to US$10 thousand.
