Opportunities

CDKN supports developing countries to deliver climate compatible development through technical assistance, research, knowledge sharing, and partnership building. CDKN announces a call for applied research projects of 12-20 months in four thematic areas, described in the announcement. Eligibility for funding extends to research institutions, universities, private-sector organizations, civil society organizations, and NGOs. The program has particular interest in (but is not restricted to) Bangladesh, the Caribbean region, Colombia, El Salvador, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Nepal, Pakistan, Peru, Rwanda, and Uganda. CDKN encourages joint proposals from two or more organizations, at least one of which should be located in a developing country. Most grants will likely range from £150 thousand to £300 thousand, up to a maximum of £500 thousand per project. The closing date for expressions of interest is 26 September 2014.
