Opportunities

For 2015, NOAA announces 10 grant competitions across four grant programs to advance the understanding of Earth's climate system, and to foster its application for decision making. NOAA anticipates making about 100 grants, each ranging between US$50 thousand and US$200 thousand per year, with some exceptions for larger awards. Eligible applicants are institutions of higher education; other nonprofits; commercial organizations; international organizations; and state, local, and Indian tribal governments. For most competitions, the deadline for letters of intent is 10 August 2014. However, the deadline for the COM - Arctic Research Program 2015-2020 and the CVP - Understanding Arctic Sea Ice Mechanisms and Predictability is 15 August 2014.
