The ‘Returning Experts Programme’, implemented by the Centre for International Migration and Development (CIM) on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), offers two International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) positions for returning Asian experts who have studied at German universities and would like to participate in an interesting international field of work. These ILRI positions will be based in Hanoi, Vietnam, but the work/project will be conducted in various parts of the region (East and Southeast Asia). ILRI plays a central role in the development and implementation of the CGIAR Research Programs (CRPs) in Southeast Asia, particularly the CRPs Humidtropics and Livestock and Fish, which have on-going projects in the region.
Position: Livestock Feed and Fodder Resources Specialist (m/f)
Feed and fodder resources play an integral role in the smallholder crop-livestock systems that are intensifying at a rapid but differentiated pace across the region. In the Humidtropics CGIAR Research Program, feed and fodder resources are one part of the crop/tree/livestock systems for which the program is developing integrated solutions in Vietnam, Lao PDR, Cambodia and China. In the Livestock and Fish CGIAR Research Program, the focus is on pig value chains in Vietnam and on feed resources for small market-oriented producers.
