YOUNGO Speaker Nomination: Regional Dialogues on Climate Resilient Agri-Food Systems
Biovision and WWF are organizing Regional Dialogues on Climate Resilient Agri-Food Systems together with entities like YOUNGO and other groups.
The main objective of the dialogues is to strengthen agri-food system approaches in the UNFCCC, including Koronivia Joint Work on Agriculture (KJWA), and the Paris agreement, showcase practical and scientific evidences in line with agroecological principles, with a particular focus on soil health, based on the outcome of COP 26 and in preparation for COP 27.
The regional dialogues will be carried out for (1) Latin America and the Caribbean, (2) Africa, (3) Asia-Pacific, (4) Europe & North America and (5) MENA States. The main target group are national negotiators and regional focal points of the KJWA and interested government representatives in preparation for the next SBSTA and SBI meetings in June and the Climate COP 27 in November 2022.
YOUNGO has always been vocal on the importance of agro ecological approach for agriculture transformations in the midst of climate change. So, in this regard, they are looking for a speaker, who can give a statement on behalf of YOUNGO about the key role of youth in developing and implementing agro ecological policies.
