The African Regional Postgraduate Program in Insect Sciences (ARPPIS) funds 3-year doctoral training to prepare young scholars from Africa for regional leadership roles, as well as internationally competitive research careers.
The ARPPIS program is jointly sponsored by Icipe (African Insect Science for Food and Health) and African universities. The proposed research topics include several in agriculture.
Applicants must be African nationals under age 36 at the time of application. The fellowships will run from 2011 - 2014.
