About Me: |
Combining a strong background in agricultural policy and communication for development, Ms. Idowu Ejere is an academic researcher and communication practitioner with 8 years of progressive experience at nationaland international level. Her areas of primary interest include, resource management, agricultural policies, gender, youth empowerment in agriculture, international trade, rural development and renewable energy. Ms. Ejere is experienced in developing funding/partnership proposals, annual work plan/budget, progress reports and speeches. She is also skilled in website/portal development, content management, social media engagement, media liaison, reputation management, branding, customer relations management, corporate event planning and coordination. She has provided significant technical policy advice to governments and international non-governmental organizations. Ms. Ejere is currently a doctoral candidate at the Natural Resource Institute, University of Greenwich where her research is focused on assessing the impact of agricultural policies on poverty reduction in Africa. She also holds a Master’s degree in Globalization and Development from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), University of Sussex and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Igbinedion University. Ms. Ejere currently works as the in-house Communications Consultant & Ag. Head of Technical Services at Alport Solutions. She previously worked as Program Officer Advocacy, Communications and Public Awareness Officer and CAADP Technical Assistant at the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA) between 2009 and 2014. She was awarded Best Professional Staff 2013. Ms. Ejere was conferred a Goodwill Ambassador for DeltaWomen Initiative in 2013 and in the same year invested an Associate Fellow of the Nigeria Leadership Initiative (NLI). She is Co-Founder Inspiring Working Women, a partnership network for professional and business women.
