You may be interested in a recently published article entitled “Progress Toward Sustainability: A Report Card and a Recommended Agenda.” This article begins with an overview of what the United States has achieved and not achieved concerning sustainability since 2002. The article then identifies ten broad recommendations for the United States for the next five to ten years. This article summarizes and synthesizes the findings and recommendations of the 41 contributing authors to Agenda for a Sustainable America (John C. Dernbach ed., Environmental Law Institute, 2009).
