Announcement:
Dear Colleagues,
A new sense of urgency caused by escalating energy and food prices, shifting weather patterns, and increasing population pressures have led donors and INGOs to realize that we must begin to use research to identify what activities and technologies have impact in development. Once identified, they will need to be incorporated into development programming, and be implemented effectively in projects.
Without the ability to conduct impact evaluations and effectively implement projects, NGOs will not be able to keep up with need in developing nations.
Two upcoming hands-on workshops – Positive Outcomes and Bridging the Gap – will focus on methods for determining project impact and for implementing projects that are using sound technologies.
These workshops are designed for home-office and field-office members of international donor and NGO organization.
Positive Outcomes
August 22, through August 29, 2009
Bridging the Gap
October 3 through October 10, 2009
