This fellowship offers up to US$10 thousand for research on conservation of genetic resources of forest tree species in two priority topics:
- Understanding the status of and threats to genetic resources of priority forest tree species; and
- Methods and approaches for conserving genetic resources of important tree species.
Applications are open to citizens of Sub-Saharan Africa under age 40 who have at least a masters degree (or equivalent) in a field related to forest genetics, and who have relevant institutional affiliations.
