The governments of the USA and UK have established the Global Innovation Initiative to support university-led research with partner institutions in Brazil, China, India, and/or Indonesia. The science (STEM) areas eligible for support include energy, climate change, and the environment; agriculture, food security, and water; and others. Grants range between US$150 thousand to US$250 thousand for projects of two years. Cost shares are expected. The deadline for applications is 16 December 2013.
