WIOMSA will make grants to demonstrate and/or improve the economic, social and environmental viability of farmed mariculture species in the Western Indian Ocean (WIO) region. Proposals are invited from government departments, research and academic institutions, NGOs and CBOs, private companies, or a consortium of these institutions. The Principal Investigator/s should be from the WIO region, and be employed by an institution based in the region. Grants are up to US$300 thousand for two years. Matching funds should be at least 20%. The deadline for proposals is 30 September 2015.
