The UN's Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) calls for project proposals to build and enhance capacity for tsunami, disaster and climate preparedness -- with emphasis on early warning for coastal hazards. The 2013-2016 strategy of the Trust Fund for Tsunami, Disaster and Climate Preparedness in Indian Ocean and Southeast Asian Countries has three pillars: regional mechanisms; special country needs; and civil society and business sector initiatives. Eligibility for support extends to governments; intergovernmental organizations; UN agencies, funds, and programmes; academic institutions; and NGOs. The application deadline is 30 September 2015.
