In cooperation with the World Cocoa Foundation, the USDA invites applications for the Borlaug Cocoa Fellowships for Latin America and the Caribbean. The program aims to provide fellows with the skills and knowledge in the production and marketing of cocoa and cocoa products. The eligible countries are Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, and Trinidad and Tobago. Fellows work with a mentor at a U.S. research institution for up to 12 weeks. The U.S. mentor later visits the fellow’s home institution to continue collaboration. The application deadline is 30 September 2015.
