Canada's IDRC calls for research proposals on the subject of cities and climate change. Proposed solutions should address climate risk and uncertainty, and inspire innovation in adaptation strategies and technologies where demographic pressure and environmental stresses are particularly acute. The research must take place in one or more of the eligible countries: Bangladesh, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Kenya, Mali, Namibia, Nepal, Pakistan, Senegal, South Africa, Tajikistan, Tanzania, or Uganda. The program is open to research-oriented organizations from academia, government, the private sector, or civil society in the eligible countries. IDRC will fund six research projects of up to CA$1 million each for projects of up to three years. The application deadline is 18 September 2015.
