The Canada Fund for local initiatives invites proposals that meet the needs of local communities in any one of the following countries: Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, and Uganda. The priorities include one on addressing climate change and enhancing environmental sustainability, i.e., related to climate mitigation and adaptation, wildlife protection, and efforts to deter wildlife and forestry crime. The average contribution is expected to be in the range of CAD $15 thousand to CAD $20 thousand per project. Larger projects may be considered on an exceptional basis. The application deadline is 08 July 2016.
