Critical Ecosystems Partnership Fund (CEPF) -- Sustainable Financing for Biodiversity Conservation in East Africa

The CEPF calls for letters of inquiry for large grants (>$20 thousand) that contribute to conservation of the Eastern Afromontane Biodiversity Hotspot. The focus is sustainable conservation financing for key biodiversity areas in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania through payments for ecosystem services, including forest carbon. CEPF anticipates making three grants of up to US$100 thousand each. Eligibility extends to NGOs, community groups, private enterprises, universities, and other civil society organizations. The deadline for letters of inquiry is 15 January 2016.
