Main purpose of the position
Responsible for day to day administration of the Unit and support to CDU Training officers on ICARDA CDU activities

Main responsibilities
- Responsible for giving the necessary administrative support to CDU Training officers within the daily management of ICARDA Capacity Development activities: Group courses, Degree, Non-Degree Training, Internships and online courses.
- Keeping updated CDU database for Group courses, Degree - Non-Degree Training and Internships
- Updating ICARDA CDU webpage
- Updating CDU section of ICARDA Document Repository
- Administrative support to ICARDA In house and Guests seminars
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of CDU
Education, qualifications and experience
- Secondary education and vocational skill requiring study/training 1-2 years’ experience
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills, good team-player, excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent command of the English language.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Arabic including drafting skills
- Experience in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and other computer applications such as web based contacts database systems, web content management, social media tools
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in team
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and extra hours needed
- Experience in working in an international, multi-cultural environment will be an advantage
Terms of appointment, salary and benefits
Depending on the availability of funds, the initial contract will be for 1 year which will be probationary period. Subsequent employment is determined based on the performance and continued need for the position.
