The Caux Dialogue on Land and Security will explore the human connections between poverty, conflict and environmental degradation. 

As the searches for peace and security, and for ways to mitigate climate change, intensify, restoring dry and degraded land offers hope: degraded land is not only a major source of conflict and of poverty, it is also responsible for CO2 in the atmosphere. We have already seen examples of large scale restorations that have been achieved, often by some of the poorest farmers in the world, transforming their own lives in the process. Can these models be replicated widely enough? It will take changes in human behaviour as well as resources, trust-building as well as technology to achieve these goals. If you are interested in trust building, conflict resolution, land restoration and/or tackling hunger and poverty, then this conference will be for you!
