| About Me: |
I am a PhD student at the University of Southampton, UK. My PhD research investigates the impact of climate change and climate variability, specifically monsoon dynamics, on agricultural production and food security in the Indo-Gangetic Plains of North India. I utilise remote sensing and ancillary climate data, geospatial analysis techniques, statistical modelling and time-series analysis to undertake this research. I am interested in applying the concepts of resilience theory and ecosystem services discourses to understand what processes undermine the long-term sustainability of the agro-ecosystems of the IGP. Aside to this research I have worked on water resources, precipitation trend analysis, and satellite derived precipitation estimates for the water abundant, but water insecure nation of Nepal.
