The Young Africa Works Summit Youth Program 2017

On February 15th, the day before the Young Africa Works (YAW) Summit kicked off,  YPARD partnered with The MasterCard Foundation to deliver a one-day pre-Summit workshop for the youth delegates attending the YAW Summit.

The workshop aimed at equipping the youth delegates with practical skills relevant to their participation at the Summit. These skills included communication, networking, pitching and live tweeting just to mention a few.

The video below follows four youth delegates Alesia Ofori, Pacifique Nishiyimana, Abigael Simaloi and John Awiel as a representative of the 47 youth delegates who took part in the workshop and the Summit itself. Additionally, it features the YPARD mentorship programs (the Summit mentoring program and the long-term mentoring program), the expectations from both the mentees and the mentors and the way forward.
